It is hard to believe that it has been a year that we all have been impacted by the Covid virus and its ramifications. Major changes have affected many people’s lives. Hopefully more people will be able to get their vaccinations real soon.
Two areas we were greatly affected were our Annual HOA Meeting and keeping the Pool open. Special Covid CDC and Cobb County guidelines had to be followed. Everyone did a pretty good job with the Pool guidelines, especially cleaning the areas when finished. We are aiming to open the pool on May 1st but want to confirm the guidelines that are needed.
The same for the Annual HOA Meeting. We were not able to hold our Meeting last year so need to have one this year but we must confirm requirements for that size meeting. There will be more on these later.
ACC IMPROVEMENT REQUEST FORMS
This is the time of year when many residents look to improve the appearance of their homes or make needed repairs. BEFORE ANY WORK MAY BE DONE TO A HOME IN LAKES OF STONEGATE YOU MUST FIRST SUBMIT AN ACC FORM AND HAVE IT APPROVED BY THE BOARD. YOUR REQUEST SHOULD BE SUBMITTED 30 DAYS BEFORE ANY WORK IS SCHEDULED. MOST REQUEST ARE ANSWERED WITHIN 10 TO 14 DAYS. ANY PREMITS THAT ARE REQUIRED MUST ALSO BE GIVEN TO THE BOARD BEFORE WORK BEGINS.
Additional forms are available at www.lakesofstonegate.org under the Documents tab.
PUBLIC MEETING UPDATE
A Public Meeting was held on Monday February 22nd with members of the Marietta Public Works to discuss ways to control the speed and overall traffic safety for our neighborhood. There were 12 residents in attendance and several more watched via a live stream on FaceBook. The results of that meeting were that there are 3 proposed Speed Tables to be installed on Frog Leap; a Crosswalk over Frog Leap at Eveningside to get to the Pool; and No Parking signs on one side of the streets to make sure that emergency vehicles and school
buses can get through our neighborhood. These proposals need to go before the City Council for final approval as all costs are paid by the City. Thank you for all those who attended to help improve the safety of our neighborhood.

PARKING PERMITS
There are still some neighbors who have not submitted their form for their LOS Parking Permits. The idea of the Parking Permits is so that we can identify residents’ cars in the parking lot versus non-residents who use the lot to carpool or fish in your lakes. If you need another form please contact the Board at hoa@lakesofstonegate.org .
WELCOME NEW NEIGHBORS
Please welcome 3 new neighbors who have moved into Lake of Stonegate since last fall. They are:
1) Wesley and Terri Harris at 1851 Eveningside.
2) David Luke and McKenna Van de Vate at 1055 Frog Leap.
3) Anthony & Kameshia Baker at 1023 Frog Leap.
Please introduce yourselves to our newest neighbors and welcome them to LOS.
SPRING YARD SALE
We usually have a Neighborhood Yard Sale each spring. We are looking for a volunteer to help us organize one for this spring. It basically entails getting signs for the Entrance and getting the word out through social medias. Please let us know either through our FaceBook page or the HOA email address listed above. Thank you!!
SPRING CLEANUP DAY MARCH 27TH
We would like to have another Neighborhood Clean Up Day this spring similar to the one we had last year that was so successful in cleaning up the areas around the lakes. This year we are looking to do a little more work to the south side of middle lake plus some general clean up around the Pool and the area along Stilesboro to the right as you leave the subdivision. Please mark your calendars!!! This is another good chance to meet your neighbors.
